Hillside House opened in 2017, registered to provide care for looked after children with Emotional, Behavioural Difficulties aged between 12yrs – 18yrs of age of mixed gender. The home is a 5 bedroom detached property situated in Nottingham, a short walk from the Jubilee Campus at Nottingham University.

The home is located in a community that offers good local amenities, including a doctor’s surgery, chemist, café, hair dressers, news-agents and a local bus service. There is a park and playing fields within a short walk from the home. Wollaton Hall, deer park and gardens, Nottingham Castle Museum and Art Gallery, Nottingham Theatre Royal, Rock City and the Nottingham Motor Point Arena are all nearby.

Hillside House has a small, friendly and welcoming staff team who enjoy arranging and participating in outings and family visits. We have a house car but as a team we try and encourage the use of public transport as much as possible in order to encourage and promote independence and confidence in getting to know the local area, with staff supervision if necessary.

Prioritising Education

Homes2Inspire have three dedicated Education Engagement Coordinators who are the link between the home, the local authority and the school. They advise on admissions, attend statutory meetings to advocate for our young people and provide career's advice across all homes.

Delivering Qualifications
As a registered Youth Awards Provider, we encourage all our young people to complete the Asdan Accredited Youth Achievement Awards. The awards range from Bronze to Platinum which upon completion, the young person will be credited UCAS points.
Assessing Development
We use the Boxall Profile to track the progress of cognitive development and behavioural traits of our young people. We work with local authorities and schools to identify and implement strategies for development and how we can best support them.
